Poreč - feel the flair of eternity
On a narrow peninsula protected by the attractive island of Sveti Nikola, the most diverse tourist center of Istria - Poreč - developed today. The past has left us with many sights in this city: Among the most famous is the Euphrasian Basilica or Euphrasiana, under UNESCO protection and from the 6th century. It is located directly in the pedestrian zone (entrance fees included). During the city tour, while we stroll from the main square along the Decumanus (central street through the old town of Poreč), let yourself be enchanted by the flair of the city, admire the “pentagonal tower”, the “Gothic house”, the “house of two” Saints ”, the“ Zuccato Palace ”, the“ Romanesque House ”,“ Marafor ”the Roman Forum. After the city tour there is free time while you can enjoy a coffee in the old town or in a café with a view of the island of Sveti Nikola.

From the sea side, the city is protected by high cliffs, on the tops of which houses were built, and from the land side, the city is protected by high city walls. All of this is well preserved to this day. And when you enter the city through the city gate of Balbi, you have the feeling that you have entered another dimension of time. These cozy streets lead you up the hill to the church of St. Euphemia (called Fuma in Istrian), the largest and best preserved monument in the city.

DAY 4: Poreč - Zagreb (capital of Croatia) - Marija Bistrica (Hrvatsko Zagorje)
Today we leave Istria on the way to the Hrvatsko Zagorje region. Our first stop is the capital of Croatia, Zagreb.
Zagreb lies on the Sava River under the protection of the Medvednica Mountains and is one of the most fascinating metropolises in Europe. Lovers of architecture and art will get their money's worth here. In addition to the magnificent buildings of the k. u. k. Monarchy, beautiful buildings of the baroque and classicism can be admired. Magnificent churches and palaces, winding streets, famous squares and countless cafés characterize the romantic cityscape ... You will learn this and much more about the thousand-year-old and diverse history on a guided tour through this fascinating city.
Zagorje is an oasis of healthy nature, forests and meadows and water, fresh air and mild healing thermal water.
The picturesque and hilly Croatian Zagorje is suitable for cycling. Zagorje is rich in tourist and recreational cycling routes adapted to the widest range of users, with an emphasis on recreational cyclists. These trails connect the main tourist attractions of the Krapina-Zagorje County.

DAY 5: Excursion in the footsteps of angels - Varaždin - dinner with music
Did you know that there are 11 bell towers, 6 churches and 3 monasteries in the city center of Varaždin? Is it then strange that the angels, so lovely and kind beings, symbols of goodness, chose Varaždin of all people for their home? Varaždin is the city of angels, and now you can get on your trail.
What makes the town of Varaždin so special is its extraordinary monument and artistic heritage and the well-preserved ornate baroque architectural town center. The unique urban identity of the city of Varaždin is not only characterized by the magnificent baroque architecture of the city center, but also by the warmth of the harmonious squares and the romantic streets. The historical city center sets the stage for numerous events throughout the year. One day is not enough to see, experience and feel Varaždin, but one day is more than enough time to fall in love with Varaždin at first sight.
Return to the hotel to freshen up for our lovely dinner.
A hardworking family with a tradition of gastronomy and their farm in generations awaits us in an idyllic, natural setting: First, the welcome drink awaits us. All specialties we try today are from our own production. This is followed by a dinner that you will remember for a long time, as the cuisine in the Croatian hinterland "hrvatsko Zagorje" is becoming more and more competitive with the Istrian cuisine.
