You always remember your mediterranean vacation upon returning home by the lavender. How about coming home this time with a home grown bouquet? We take you to a lavender journey where you can experience and enjoy the nature. Indulge your senses with the colors and scents of the lavender, sage and herbs in the colorful landscape of blue and violet... taking a simple and relaxed strolls on rarely committed routes, take a break from a daily routine and reduce stress. Enjoy our lavender harvest with all your senses.

The flowering time of our lavender plants is from the end of May, June and July. Should it be due to climatic influences (much rain or very cold winter) to delay the flowering, everything is organized in the field as described except the harvest.

Fužine

A small village situated in the south west corner of the Gorski Kotar region, popularly known as the green lung of Croatia with 63% of it covered by forest. At 740 meters above sea level you will enjoy the benefits of the fresh mountain air where the summer evenings are pleasantly cool while the days remain warm to enjoy. Surrounded by forrest, it is the ideal place to find your inner self. You will discover caves and lakes nearby. Here you will visit one of our lavender plantations.

At an additional charge of 10.- € you can enjoy a small train ride to the plantation and visit the beautiful cave Vrelo.

Island Krk tour

Today, a discovery tour of the island of Krk awaits you. Do not miss the sights of the largest adriatic island of Krk, which is connected to the mainland by bridge. The tour begins by visiting the town of Krk with its well known cathedral within its city walls. We then continue to Vrbnik – a beautiful location high on the hilltop above the sea, beautiful old town center and the narrowest street in the world.

Indulge your senses by tasting a local dish named Šurlice and goulash: „Šurlice“ is the home made pasta similar to Macaroni made by local housewives. They are served with lamb goulash, shrimps, seafood, mushrooms and cheese. Once upon a time they were served only on holidays.

Nowadays it is part of the ancient culinary offer.

We should also mention by all means the local smoked ham (’pršut’), served with traditional bread (’pogača’) and olives. Taste the local wine „Vrbnička Žlahtina“.

3. DAY: Lavender harvest

Wine valley and lavender – picnic in the lavender field.

Separated by a ridge from the coast there is a fertile wine valley and here in a small village hides our lavender field where you can enjoy your harvest. Greeting with welcome drink ( lavender liquer, lavender biscuits and similar delights) and music. Abundant picnic with traditional products and wine, juices, water, followed by guided lavender harvest and animation program. Afterwards we have prepared a delicious lunch for you including also wine and water. Each guest receives a small gift as a souvenir – a small lavander plant.
