DAY 1: arrival. Welcome drink with our tour guide
DAY 2: Portorož and Piran
After the rich breakfast buffet we drive to Piran. The city is known for its beautiful old town and the special Venetian architecture and for us Piran is undoubtedly the most beautiful city on the short coast of Slovenia. At Tartini Square we see the Gothic Venetian House and the Tartini House with its frescoes. The violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini was born here in 1962. Also worth seeing is the 19th century town hall with its stone lion, a symbol of the former Republic of Venice. In the nearby St. George's Cathedral, there are works of art from the 17th century and marble altars. From above you have a wonderful view of the whole bay. The journey continues to the winery in Dragonja where we have prepared a hearty lunch for you. We will end this day with a guided walk in Portorož. Enjoy a walk along the promenade, which is decorated with green areas and flower beds.
DAY 3: Trieste
After rich breakfast at the breakfast buffet we drive to the Italian port city of Trieste. The city was under the rule of the Habsburgs for over 500 years and became the most important port city in Austria-Hungary. The long Austrian rule clearly left its mark on the cityscape. However, numerous remains from the Roman past and the Middle Ages have been preserved. After the city tour, free time in Trieste.
DAY 4: Koper and Wine Fountain Tour
After breakfast, drive to Koper, the largest city on the Slovenian coast. A walk through the picturesque, narrow streets is a highlight in Koper that our tour guide will show you. After the city tour, you will drive on through the Slovenian Istria and get to know the wine region, which is known for the special red wine Refošk. For this reason, the well is best located in the heart of the country where the Refošk grows - Marezige.
You will receive a special token with which you can pour wine directly from the pipe of the fountain into your special glass and keep a glass as a souvenir of your trip. In a special room for indoor tasting, you have the opportunity to try other regional wines and learn more about the production and the wineries as well as homemade delicacies. The tour is ideal for anyone who wants to experience something unique and enjoy the view of the Slovenian countryside.
