PROGRAM SUGGESTION:
DAY 1: Arrival in Lido di Jesolo (Italy)
The attractive seaside resort offers a wonderful beach of approx. 15 km and with 9 km the longest pedestrian zone in the world. Arrival in the evening, check-in at the hotel for the next two nights.
DAY 2: Venice, the lagoon city
After breakfast we go to Venice to St. Mark's Square with the golden basilica and the Doge's Palace. Stroll across the Rialto Bridge through the countless narrow streets with cafes, bars and many shops. You will then have time to explore on your own before heading to the hotel in Lido di Jesolo in the late afternoon.
The Venice lagoon is only 30 minutes away from Lido di Jesolo. You drive with your own bus or public transport to Punta Sabbioni and from there you can take a public boat to St. Markus Square in about 35 minutes (fees to be paid by the bus driver on site)
DAY 3: Trieste - Istria (Croatia)
In the morning you pay a visit to the port city of Trieste. Explore the renovated old town and cathedral high above the city. The charming port city of Trieste offers much more than just shopping. Order a cup of first-class Illy coffee, taste delicious Italian ice cream gelato and stroll the city's beautiful streets.
Visit the charming city of Trieste, once considered a shopping paradise and now known for its delicious coffee and romantic walks. The sights of Trieste include the Piazza Unita d'Italia and the castles of San Giusto and Miramar (admission to the Miramar Castle on request, can be ordered in advance).
In the afternoon drive to Croatia - Istria. Arrival in the early evening, welcome drink and check-in at the hotel.
DAY 4: Pula - Brioni Islands
Today you will first visit the historical city of Pula. The old Roman city of Pula is famous for the ancient amphitheater from the 2nd century, as well as other ancient Roman sights that we will visit during the city tour. Use the free time after the city tour in Pula for a coffee on the forum square or visit the green market in Pula.
Then we visit the Brion Islands National Park. The archipelago consists of 14 larger and smaller islands of fascinating beauty with archaeological finds from Roman and Byzantine times. After a short boat ride, a tourist train takes you through the nature park, where exotic animals live in the wild.
Note: Depending on the date of the ship to the Brioni Islands, we can first visit the national park and then the city of Pula.
DAY 5: Rovinj - Lim Fjord - Poreč
Today you will visit the beautiful town of Rovinj, located right next to the Limfjord Nature Park.
Our tip (bookable for a surcharge): In addition to a stroll through the city, there is also the opportunity for a boat trip through the imposing Limfjord. The fjord-like bay extends almost 12 km into the untouched wild karst landscape with its up to 150 m high wooded slopes.
Then we visit the picturesque town of Poreč with its wonderful harbor promenade and the wonderful marina. During a city tour you will see the city palace, the pentagonal defense tower, the famous Euphrasius basilica with Byzantine mosaics and much more.
In the afternoon we invite you to a wine tasting in the hinterland of Poreč, where you will learn the secrets of the production of Istrian wines and hear stories about this wine-rich area.
DAY 6: Ljubljana - Bled or Kranjska Gora (Slovenia)
In the morning return via Ljubljana on Lake Bled or Kranjska Gora. Traces of all five millennia of its history have been preserved in Ljubljana. City tour and free time. Then drive to Bled or Kranjska Gora for the last night.
Note: We can organize the last night in Ljubljana if you wish.
DAY 7: journey home
