ENCHANTING CITIES AND QUIET VILLAGES

In Croatia you will find landscapes and a species-rich nature in a relatively narrow space that you otherwise only find in far apart regions of Europe and the world.

DAY 2: Plitvice Lakes - Makarska Riviera
In a valley basin, surrounded by high, wooded mountains, 16 larger and smaller lakes with crystal clear, blue-green water are lined up in stages and connected by rushing waterfalls and foaming cascades. Thanks to their unique origins and beauty, the Plitvice Lakes were entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. Dinner and overnight at the hotel on the Makarska Riviera.

Day 3: Mostar
Today you take a detour to Bosnia and Herzegovina. You will visit the old town of Mostar, with the world-famous historical bridge, which was rebuilt with funds from the World Bank and UNESCO. In the old town you will encounter unique monuments of the Ottoman Empire, such as the imposing Karađoz-Beg Mosque, which is also open to visitors. Dinner and overnight at the hotel on the Makarska Riviera.

Day 4: Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will get to know the city today on a guided tour.
The city rises on a rock above which the sea laps it from three sides. This picturesque place is of the utmost beauty. An outpost in the sea that has always had great strategic importance. So it's no wonder that Dubrovnik has been settled since ancient times. The old town of Dubrovnik is fully included in the UNESCO World Heritage List thanks to its beauty and cultural importance.

The city wall is almost two kilometers long and completely accessible. From here the visitor not only has a breathtaking view of the sea, but also good views of the Lovrijenac fortress. The fortress dates back to 1050 and today it is used, among other things, as a wonderful place for various festivals and stage performances. Stories and legends about the Church of St. Vitus, the protector of Dubrovnik, the cathedral, the Rector's Palace, Sponza Palace, the Orlando Column and much more, you will learn on an accompanied city tour and learn interesting things about the diverse past of the city . Then you have the opportunity to explore Dubrovnik yourself.
Our tip (bookable for a surcharge): On the way back, make a stopover in Ston, where the best oysters in the world are farmed. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Makarska.

DAY 5: Split - Trogir
You travel the Adriatic coast, called Makarska Riviera, and reach the city of Split. On a guided tour you will see the historic old town and then there will be free time. The Roman emperor Diocletian decided to build his summer residence in Split in 305. He had a residence built that was unique for the building industry at the time, with strong walls, numerous defensive towers, temples, palaces and thermal baths. Today this palace represents the largest complex of ancient monuments in Croatia and is a popular sightseeing object.
Not far from the economic and cultural center of Split lies the harmonious, stone city of Trogir, whose city center, like Split, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Trogir is one of the most beautiful small towns in Croatia!
Dinner and overnight in the Šibenik area.

DAY 6: Krka Waterfalls National Park - Šibenik
You will spend the morning in the Krka National Park and admire the numerous waterfalls there. The river Krka has dug a bed through the karst area over a length of 75 km. Deep gorges, lakes and waterfalls alternate with each other. A system of paths and walkways, bridges and viewpoints provide impressive images. Šibenik stands out among all other Croatian Adtria cities with its unique location in the picturesque and wide bay into which the Krka River flows. The city emerged as an old Croatian castrum (fortress or fortified camp) at the foot of the castle of St. Michael, which still dominates the city today. Discover the most important sights of this beautiful city on our city tour. Dinner and overnight in the Šibenik area.

DAY 7: Zadar - island of Pag - Crikvenica or Opatija
After breakfast we have to say goodbye to the Makarska region with many impressions. Our next destination is Zadar. Here you can clearly see the influence of Venetian masters. After the city tour and free time, we continue to the island of Pag. We reach the island of Pag over the bridge (free of charge). We take a panoramic trip along the longest island in Croatia to the town of Pag with the same name. This is followed by a city tour and some free time. We come from the island of Pag to the mainland by ferry (for a fee). Along the coastal road, one of the most scenic roads in the Mediterranean, with views of the islands of Rab and Krk, you will drive to the traditional seaside resort of Crikvenica and Opatija. Dinner and overnight.

NOTE: If you do not want to visit the island of Pag, we recommend the following route:
Zadar - highway Crikvenica Riviera or Opatija Riviera.
