DAY 2: Makarska Riviera - Dubrovnik - Budva
The charm and beauty of the city of Dubrovnik lies in its long history. Over the centuries, Dubrovnik has asserted itself as an independent, strong and influential city. Its particular geographical location helped develop the successful trading and shipping tradition. The historic old town of Dubrovnik is surrounded by a completely preserved and particularly impressive fortress-like city wall.
Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will get to know the city today on a guided tour.
After crossing the Gothic bridge of the inner city gate, on which there is a statue Stankt Blasius designed by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, the view opens onto the main street of the city, the Placa (Stradun).
From this street, all major sights of the city can be reached in a few minutes on foot. After the tour you have the opportunity to explore Dubrovnik yourself before we continue our journey to Budva. Arrival in Budva in the evening.

The old town of Kotor, which is under UNESCO protection, is your first stop on this excursion. You will visit the old town and the maritime museum. Then the journey continues, up the steep slopes of the Lovcen Mountains to Njegusi, the birthplace of the Petrovic dynasty. Here we invite you to try the famous cheese and smoked ham on farmhouse bread. Try a glass of wine with it. Continue to the former capital Cetinje where you will visit the castle of King Nikola I. You will then have free time to explore the small town on your own. Then return to the coast and your hotel.

Lake Skadar is the largest lake in the Balkans. Do not miss this natural beauty of the national park, which is known far beyond the borders of Montenegro for its flora and fauna. You start at the coast, enjoy the panoramic trip over the mountains to Lake Skadar, where you are expected for a boat trip. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare species of fish and birds. You will then return to the coast by bus and will be back at your holiday hotel in the afternoon.
The wild beauty of Montenegro On this excursion you have the opportunity to admire the interior with its variety of beautiful mountains and gorges. In the morning the journey goes through the mountains to Podgorica. You pass the capital and the spectacular road continues along the Morača River. During a visit to the Morača Monastery from the 13th century, you can marvel at the frescoes with their high cultural value. We continue through the beautiful gorge along the Tara River, which is the second deepest gorge in the world after the Grand Canyon in Colorado. Albania This excursion offers you the unique opportunity to get to know our neighboring country Albania. You will be surprised how rich the history, tradition and culture of this country is. The journey takes you along the Montenegrin coast: via Petrovac and Bar, the southernmost city of Montenegro, where the European and Oriental cultures meet. In the village of Sukobin you will reach the border and continue to Skadar. The city on Lake Skadar is known as an old trading center. After that we will drive towards the Rozafa fortress, visit the old town and archaeological museum. Break and return to the hotel.
The Bay of Kotor On this excursion you will get to know the southernmost fjord in Europe. The bus will take you along the coast to the port of Tivat. There the ship awaits you with which you will discover the beautiful fjord. The panorama of the mountains combined with the silence of the sea will take your breath away. The journey leads along the narrowest part - Verige, past Lepetane, Stoliv, Prcanj, Muo to Kotor. In the heart of the bay, visit the 17th century church on the small island of Gospa od Škrpjela (Mary of the Rocks). You will then have free time to swim and sunbathe, depending on the weather. After arriving in Kotor, you will return to your holiday hotel by bus.
